“Everyone has a handful of parents they look at and say, ‘They did a great job with their kids.’ They’re the kind of parents you look to for advice with your own children. Jim and Suzette Brawner are ‘look at’ and ‘look to’ parents in my book. They’ve taken the different personalities in their family and blended them into a closely knit team. With their insights and wisdom, you can do the same with your family.”

“I’ve lived next door to the Brawner family zoo for 15 years. Their three children are the best parented young adults I know.”
-- Joe White, author, speaker, President, Kanakuk Kamps
“My wife and I enjoyed lots of blessings and success raising our five kids. But reading this book made me say, ‘I wish we’d known that.” How much more successful we would have been with this book in our tool box of parenting skills!”
-- Peter Herschend, member, Missouri State Board of Education, father of five
How a Person With Your Personality Can Be an Effective Parent/Employer/Team Member
Does dinner time at your house sometimes look more like feeding time at the zoo than a family meal? Do your kids sometimes act more like animals than like children? If you answered yes to these questions, don’t despair – your family is more normal than you might think. The truth is every member of your family (including you!) is really a lion, otter, golden retriever, or beaver. No wonder chaos often results when you’re all together! Jim Brawner examines these four different personality types with depth and humor, giving you insight into why your kids act the way they do. When we understand our strengths and weaknesses, we can better connect and effectively teach each one of our children according to their bent!
Hidden Keys to Successful Teamwork
Effective communication requires three key components. As you discover, navigate, and apply these components, you should be able to discern a child’s feelings and needs. With this level of understanding, you will help them begin to take personal responsibility for their actions (and reactions).
